Sheriff: Homeless man arrested on felony drug charges in Canandaigua

Sheriff Kevin Henderson reports the arrest of a homeless person in Canandaigua on felony drug charges.

Aneudi Rivera, 42, of Canandaigua was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The charges is a Class B felony.

Henderson says that Rivera was arrested at the Ontario County Jail where he’s currently being held on a parole violation.

The drug sale charges stem from an investigation where Rivera sold fentanyl to another person on August 30th on County Road 10.

Rivera was remanded to the Ontario County Jail and will be arraigned at a later time.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Geneva Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit.
