Grubhub and other mobile delivery apps are standard for food delivery nowadays, but restaurant owners and now New York legislators are becoming increasingly peeved by the platform’s practices.
This week, a letter signed by 30 New York City Council members asked Grubhub CEO Matt Maloney to address charges to restaurants for customer phone calls that go through the platform.
It’s the latest wrinkle in the relationship between delivery companies and restaurants, both trying to navigate the ever-shifting food delivery industry.
