Three-point shooting was the difference once again as Syracuse wore down the Carleton University Ravens and won its final exhibition, 77-58. Elijah Hughes led the Orange with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Syracuse converted 10 shots from behind the arc to four for the Ravens.
RAVENS TAKE EARLY FLIGHT
Carleton took a 12-6 advantage into the first T.V. timeout. The Ravens went 5-for-9 from the field in the first four and a half minutes of the contest and outrebounded the Orange 7-3. Three pointers from Yasiin Joseph and Munis Tutu propelled the visitors to their early lead.
Syracuse’s scoring came from two Hughes three pointers. The redshirt junior went 5-for-7 from behind the arc in the Orange’s victory over Daemen Saturday night and followed that with two long range makes Tuesday.
ORANGE BACK ON TOP
‘Cuse took their first lead of the game, 16-15, with 11 minutes remaining in the first half on Buddy Boeheim’s second three-pointer. Boeheim was the first Orange player in double figures. The sophomore guard put up 12 points in the first 12 minutes and was 3-for-4 from long range.
