Seneca Falls man arrested on felony charge after punching, kicking, and choking woman in Lyons

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Seneca Falls man following a domestic incident in the Town of Lyons over the weekend.

Michael Ellersick, 34, of Seneca Falls was arrested after an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred on Lawrence Street in Lyons.

Deputies say that Ellersick was charged with felony aggravated family offense, strangulation, assault, and harassment after choking a woman during a verbal dispute.



They further allege that she was punched and kicked in the face and chest during the violent incident.

Ellersick then fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later by deputies.

They say Ellersick was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court for further court action.
