Investigation underway after vandals set fire to Station Church in Hornell

Multiple agencies in Steuben County were called to a fire reported at the Station Church in Hornell after a fire broke out.

According to a Facebook Livestream by the Church’s pastor, the building was intentionally set on fire and sustained significant damage.

The damage was to the interior and exterior. The pastor, who was identified as TJ by WETM-TV said that a person, or persons broke into the church through the sanctuary – vandalized it – then lit matches in a trash can.

No further details have been provided by authorities at this point, but an investigation is said to be underway.
