Seneca Falls man runs out of gas, charged with DWI as he walks to gas station

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest fo a 63-year-old town resident following an investigation into an unoccupied vehicle.

The vehicle was found along State Route 414, according to police, who say that the owner was located walking to the gas station after his car ran out of fuel.

After investigation it was determined that the operator, identified as Arthur J. Wixson, 63, of Seneca Falls was intoxicated.



He was charged with driving while intoxicated, and driving with a BAC of more than 0.08%. Both are misdemeanors.

Police say Wixson was processed and released on appearance tickets.
