It’s been nearly three months since Musician Alicia Keys and her husband, music producer Swizz Beatz revealed plans to create a performing arts center and campus in Macedon, Wayne County.
Approvals for the proposed project, to transform the former Jindal Films industrial site on Route 31 in Macedon into a performing arts campus for new musicians and artists, have stalled since the concept was introduced to the Macedon Town Board on Aug. 8th.
The celebrity couple wants to repurpose three vacant buildings already on the 111-acre parcel, said attorney Linda Shaw, who is representing Keys and her husband, whose real name is Kasseem Dean.
