Police say that a Seneca Falls man was arrested on a felony charge after an investigation into a forged check.
The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of 55-year-old Bryan Rugenstein.
Police say that they received a forgery complaint reporting that a check had been altered. The complaint alleged that Rugenstein received a personal check after completing work for another person; and changed the amount on the check after it was in his possession.
Police say that the check was modified from $20, as written, to $120. Rugenstein was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class D felony.
He was held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
