Power outage impacts over 1,800 in Geneva

A blown transformer at the corner of Madison and Hamilton streets caused a power outage on the south side of Geneva Thursday evening.

It’s unclear what caused the outage at this point.

NYSEG officials said approximately 1,890 properties are without electricity.

Power was expected to be restored by about 11:15 p.m. Thursday.
