The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for most of the Finger Lakes. The advisory runs from Friday at 9 p.m. until Saturday at 10 a.m.
While there are a lot of communities around the region – and through the Southern Tier not included in the advisory – that’s due to frost having already observed.
It means the growing season is officially over for these places. Once that happens – Frost Advisories are no longer needed.
Frost Advisories are active for Cayuga, Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Wayne counties in the immediate Finger Lakes region.
