Syracuse was picked eighth in the ACC Preseason Men’s Basketball Poll announced today by the league. The Orange accumulated 910 points in the media poll, just five points shy of Notre Dame in seventh.
Duke placed first in the preseason rankings and was one of four programs to earn first-place votes. North Carolina, Louisville and Virginia followed the Blue Devils in the poll and also earned top nods from the voters.
Louisville’s Jordan Nwora was selected ACC Preseason Player of the Year and Cole Anthony from North Carolina earned ACC Preseason Freshman of the Year recognition. Syracuse did not have a representative on the ACC Preseason All-ACC First or Second teams.
