Police: Rochester man gave Canandaigua PD false ID during traffic stop

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 20-year-old Rochester resident following a traffic stop on North Main Street in the city on October 9th.

Police say the stop happened around 3:05 a.m. when a vehicle was observed speeding.

Diego L. Mojena, 20, of Rochester was charged with speeding, aggravated unlicensed operation, false impersonation and DWAI drugs.

It is alleged that Mojena was speeding on North Main Street, and when stopped – found to be under the influence of drugs. Police further allege that Mojena provided officers with a false name and date of birth, which resulted in additional charges.

Police say that his driving privileges had been suspended.

Mojena was taken to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
