Virginia driver ticketed after three-car crash involving Pal-Mac school bus

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports investigation of a three-car crash involving two passenger vehicle and a school bus in the Town of Palmyra on Tuesday.

Deputies say that Haley Lewis, 21, of Virginia Beach was traveling south on State Route 21 when she was distracted and rear-ended the passenger vehicle in front of her.

The force of the collision resulted in the second vehicle crashing into a school bus.

Denise Nash, 65, of Palmyra was the operator of the second vehicle, according to deputies. They say she was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital with minor injuries following the wreck.

Deputies say that no one on the bus was hurt as result of the crash. Lewis was ultimately ticketed for failing to reduce speed for a special hazard and will answer the charge at a later date in Palmyra Town Court.

Deputies were assisted by the Palmyra Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, and Palmyra-Macedon School District.
