Anne Kress will be leaving her position as president of Monroe Community College.
The announcement was made Tuesday afternoon by officials at Northern Virginia Community College.
Kress was selected as the next president of Northern Virginia Community College after being named one of three finalists last month.
Kress’ new position is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2020.
In 2009, Kress was named president of MCC, having previously served at Santa Fe Community College in a number of roles, including provost and vice president for academic affairs.
