Police: Corning man stole car in Seneca Falls, fled for months

On Monday at approximately 7:23 p.m. police arrested a Corning man following an investigation into the theft of a vehicle in the Town of Seneca Falls.

The theft occurred in June, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department, who say New York State Police picked up the suspect, 24-year-old Trey Torres.

Torres is a Corning resident and is accused of stealing a vehicle from a known associate on Mynderse Street.

On June 18th police located the vehicle, but was not able to locate Torres. He was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility.

Police say Torres was taken into custody on an arrest warrant; and was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
