Farmington man facing charges after firing rifle at vehicle involved in larceny

Deputies arrested a Farmington man after he fired a gun at a vehicle fleeing the scene of a larceny on his property.

Sheriff Henderson reports that on October 2nd at approximately 9 p.m. Steven John Pfeiffer, 46, of Farmington was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon following an investigation into an incident on August 14th.

Pfeiffer is accused of firing his rifle at a vehicle that was fleeing his property after the person had stolen property from his his vehicle.

None of the individuals were injured, and Henderson says that the individuals inside the vehicle continued committing larcenies.

They were caught by deputies a short time later.

Pfeiffer was issued an appearance ticket for Farmington Town Court.
