Homeowners affected by this year’s Lake Ontario flooding can now apply for state funding to offset damage.
The 2019 Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Flood Relief and Recovery Program is open to primary residences throughout October, says a press release from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office. Homeowners in counties including Monroe, Orleans, and Wayne are eligible to receive up to $50,000 in funding to offset damages to their primary residences.
Secondary homes will be evaluated afterwards should funding still be available.
Applications and additional information can be found on the program’s website.
