Schuyler County man accused of strangling step children in pair of domestic incidents

Deputies report that a 36-year-old Schuyler County resident was arrested on Sunday following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Jeremy Peters, 36, of Erin, New York was charged with second-degree strangulation, attempted strangulation, two counts of aggravated harassment, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Peters is accused in two separate domestic incidents, which occurred between June and August of this year. The incidents involved his step children.



He was arraigned in Hector Town Court and held on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secured bond.

The charges will be answered in Schuyler County Court at a later date.
