Police: Canandaigua man physically threatened woman after charges filed against him

Police say that a 32-year-old Canandaigua man is facing new charges after threatening an unidentified female victim who filed charges against him.

The charges stemmed from a domestic incident, according to police.

Charles R. LaPlant, 32, of Canandaigua was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of third-degree intimidating a victim or witness.

Police say LaPlant had charges filed against him following a domestic dispute involving the female victim.

After he learned about the charges against him, he’s accused of making physical threats of harm to the woman – if she did not get the charges dropped.

LaPlant was remanded to the Ontario County Jail and is set to appear in court at a later date.
