The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a 33-year-old Penn Yan resident following a domestic incident.
Aurel Jovanov, 33, of Penn Yan was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child after a domestic incident on Liberty Street.
The incident occurred on Friday around 9:56 p.m. when Jovanov allegedly attempted to punch an unidentified victim at the residence.
At the same time the victim was holding a child, which resulted in the child endangerment charge.
Police did not indicate if any persons involved were physically injured.
Jovanov was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, according to police.
