The state is reissuing its warning for people to stop using e-cigarette or vaping products.
The announcement was made by Governor Andrew Cuomo and State Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker on Friday.
This comes as vaping-associated illnesses continue to climb nationwide. The CDC reports 530 cases in 38 states with eight confirmed deaths. In New York, the reported cases of vaping-associated illnesses increased to 81.
Experts have not been able to link a substance or product to all of the cases.
