After sophisticated ransomware attacks across New York, Senator Chuck Schumer is calling for legislation to help potential victims of the crime.
The DHS Cyber Hunt and Incident Response Team Act is a bipartisan bill that’s being sponsored by the New York senator.
The legislation would call for the Department of Homeland Security to have a team dedicated to helping towns or cities impacted by ransomware attacks.
