This week marks the deadline for students in Central New York to submit forms proving they have been vaccinated – the first year of the state’s ban on religious exemptions.
Failure to do so could result in being pulled out of school.
It comes after a bill signed into law in June put an end to religious exemptions for vaccines. The legislation looked to stop the outbreak of measles in New York state.
