Police say a Canandaigua man was taken into custody after fleeing the scene of a domestic incident.
Blake Johnson, 34, of Canandaigua was charged with harassment, menacing, and criminal mischief after the incident, which police say occurred on Monday.
Police responded to a residence on South Main Street for the report of a domestic incident; and upon arrival, learned that Johnson damaged a door and rug at a residence.
He is further accused of pushing a female victim to the ground – striking her several times in the arm and torso.
Johnson had left the scene, but was later located and taken into custody.
The victim did not sustain any serious injuries during the incident.
Police say Johnson was held at the Ontario County Jail.
