Deputies: One airlifted from three-vehicle crash along Rt. 54

In the Town of Torrey on Monday, September 9th a three-vehicle crash prompted first responders to be on-scene for an extended period of time along Route 54.

Deputies say that witness statements indicate that Moshe Kadmon, 74, of Isreal, had stopped at the stop sign near the rail spur on Route 54, then continued onto the roadway colliding with a truck.

The pickup truck was operated by William Hamilton, 54, of Penn Yan. The collision of the truck and minivan caused a third vehicle to be involved.

That vehicle was operated by 19-year-old Lester Garman, a Penn Yan resident.

First responders from Dresden, Penn Yan, and West Lake Road fire departments all responded.

Deputies say Hamilton had to be airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. Two other passengers in the vehicles were uninjured.

No tickets have been issued yet in that crash.
