Empire State Development announced that Zweigle’s will add 29,000 square feet to its Plymouth Avenue facility in Rochester, and create 33 new jobs.
The state agency said that the expansion is in response to growing demand from markets outside New York State.
Empire State Development will give Zweigle’s up to $600,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program in exchange for job creation commitments. The agency is also giving $250,000 through the regional Upstate Revitalization Initiative and another $150,000 will come through a capital grant. The City of Rochester, Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also providing aid for the project. Empire State Development did not share how much those entities will be providing.
