The Victor Farmington Food Cupboard does good in the community. A lot of it.
It’s a non-profit, which serves Ontario County residents who have difficulty making ends meet. They have been working at it for nearly 40 years.
VFFC Director of Communications and Development Karen Guidarelli says doing more, or continuing to grow the effort – as it’s become more needed – will take buy-in from the community.
The organization is looking for sponsors for their Neighbors Feeding Neighbors effort, and is also looking at the potential for a new space.
“It’s a way for people to anonymously sponsor a family for however long they’d like to,” Guidarelli told MPNNow.com. “Neighbors Feeding Neighbors can be a one-time donation or it can be a monthly gift.”
Funds are efficiently used, too.
She estimates that it costs approximately $20 for the organization to feed a family of four for month.
