This year on September 11, and on every 9/11 after that, public schools in New York State will hold a moment of silence.
It’s part of a new law that was signed by Governor Cuomo on Monday to establish a 9/11 Remembrance Day. Wednesday is the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed on that day in 2001.
