Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that he will be pushing new legislation to ban flavored e-cigarettes and is taking aggressive action against vaping products.
Cuomo has directed the State Department of Health to subpoena companies that market and sell “thickening agents” used in black market vaping products and to issue emergency regulations for vape and smoke shops in New York to post warning signs about their products.
“Common sense says if you do not know what you are smoking, don’t smoke it. And right now we don’t know what you are smoking in a lot of these vaping substances,” Cuomo said.
