Deputies: Driver charged with DWI after vehicle ends up ‘several hundred feet’ into Palmyra corn field

Deputies say that a Pennsylvania man was arrested on DWI charges following a crash that occurred in the Town of Palmyra on Saturday.

Stephen J. Rassio Jr., 53, of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania was charged with DWI, and driving with a BAC over 0.08 percent.

It is alleged that Passio called 911 stating that he crashed his vehicle, which was confirmed on Maple Avenue in Palmyra by deputies.

Passio’s vehicle was located several hundred feet into a cornfield, according to deputies. It was also determined by deputies that Passio was intoxicated.

He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
