More than $7K in merchandise stolen from store at Eastview Mall

Deputies say that a 26-year-old Rochester resident was arrested on serious charges after investigators discovered the theft of more than $7,000 worth of merchandise from a Victor store.

Lashawn Thomas, 26, of Rochester was taken into custody on a third-degree grand larceny charge after a shoplifting complaint was investigated at Eastview Mall.

Thomas is accused of stealing more than $7,000 worth of merchandise consisting of eye glasses and frames from the Macy’s LensCrafters store at Eastview.

Thomas was taken into custody alongside Tara Oldfield-Parker, 26, of Rochester, after a separate investigation concluded stemming from a larceny that occurred earlier this week at Eastview.

Investigators say the duo worked together to steal more than $650 worth of merchandise from Victor’s Secret.

Both were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

All of the charges will be answered in Victor Town Court.
