Arrest made after series of Lyons burglaries

A man from Lyons has been charged in connection with a number of burglaries in the town.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says Jeffery Laplant, 33, is charged with both 2nd and 3rd degree burglary, Grand Larceny and Petit Larceny.

The burglaries took place between June and August.



The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Town of Lyons man for one count of Burglary in the 3rd degree, three counts of Burglary in the 2nd degree, one count of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree and three counts of Petit Larceny.

Officers arrested Jeffery W. Laplant, age 33, of 10 Queen Street Apartment #1 Lyons, NY. The charges stem from the investigation into a series of burglaries that occurred from June 2019 thru August 2019 at residences in the Town of Lyons. Laplant was transported to the Wayne County Jail-Centralized Arraignment to be arraigned by the presiding judge on August 30th at 700 AM.
