Waterloo woman charged with arson, criminal mischief after domestic incident

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo woman on arson and criminal mischief charges following investigation of a reported domestic incident.

On August 14th at approximately 8:45 a.m. deputies received the report of a domestic incident no longer in progress. Investigation into that incident resulted in the arrest of Andrea M. Minnier, 45, of Waterloo.

The arrest stems from an incident where Minnier destroyed the personal property of the victim, which was valued at over $1,000. She is said to have doused the property in gasoline, and lighting it on fire at the residence.

Following investigation, Minnier was charged with fifth-degree arson, and felony criminal mischief. She was held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility and released following arraignment.

Deputies were assisted by members of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges will be answered in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
