Steuben woman arrested for allegedly violating Leandra’s Law, threatening women with a knife

A Hornell woman was arrested after police say she drove drunk with children in the car and threatened two other women with a knife.

On Sunday, August 11, Steuben County deputies responded to a home on Reddy Hollow Road in Arkport for the report of a woman threatening two other women with a knife.

Deputies say the investigation revealed 34-year-old Amanda Marriott of Hornell drove drunk with children in the car and then threatened the two women.

Marriott was charged with felony driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of menacing.
