A community is mourning the sudden loss of a beloved school teacher.
According to the Gananda Central School District, Alexandra Feedied Friday in an accident while on vacation in California.
Fee was an English language arts teacher for the district, where she worked for the last five years.
Superintendent Shawn Van Scoy says the reaction is shock and sadness.
“People’s hearts are breaking. She is a beloved teacher here in the district, loved by students, loved by staff,” Van Scoy said.
In addition to teaching, Van Scoy says Fee gave her all, serving as an adviser on the high school yearbook, for the senior class and the Sources of Strength program.
