Deputies report that around 11:47 a.m. on Monday they were called to a two-car personal injury crash at the intersection of County Roads 139 and 129 in Ovid.
Upon investigation it was determined that a pickup truck and trailer operated by Thomas Hayward, 67, of Interlaken was traveling east on County Road 139 when he was struck by another pickup truck traveling south on County Road 129.
The second pickup truck was operated by William Stevens, 60, of Ithaca.
Both trucks sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
Deputies say Hayward was checked over at the scene and complained of shoulder and arm pain. However, sought out medical treatment on his own. His passengers Joseph Swarey, 36, and Jacob Swarey, 13, both of Ovid were not injured.
Stevens complained of pain and was transported to Cayuga Medical Center. Deputies say he was also ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign.
The charges will be answered at a later date. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Ovid Fire Department.
