At the end of last week’s Geneva City Council meeting – City Manager Sage Gerling said that officer Jack Montesanto, who pled not guilty to a misdemeanor charge a few days earlier, had been placed on unpaid leave.
This according to a report by The Geneva Believer.

Montesanto was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge criminal obstruction of breathing. Questions swirled about the charge, and why a felony charge had not been filed in the incident.
