Gananda High School teacher, Penfield cheer coach dies

Gananda High School teacher Alexandra Fee passed away in a tragic accident in California, according to the district.

Fee, an English Language Arts teacher, passed away on Friday while on vacation in California. She was also a cheerleading coach for the Penfield Central School District.

“She touched many lives; high school students, staff, and community members alike,” said superintendent Shawn Van Scoy in a release.



Fee joined the Gananda district in October 2014 as a teacher at Ruben A. Cirillo High School, according to the district.

She was also the yearbook advisor, a Sources of Strength advisor, and a class advisor.
