Strong storms batter the Finger Lakes

Strong thunderstorms moved through the northern Finger Lakes and Rochester on Tuesday afternoon and will continue to be a threat into Wednesday for parts of the entire region. We have received a report of a tree severely damaging a home on Route 336, one-mile west of Fayette and a large tree down closing traffic on Jackson Street in Weedsport. Showers and thunderstorms likely before 1am, then a slight chance of showers between 1am and 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
