The building is upwards of 100 years old and housed at least three apartment units – as well as a business on the first floor.
No one was hurt, but a few residents were taken to the hospital as a precaution. They were all released within an hour, according to first responders.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that one firefighter was treated at a local urgent care for minor injuries sustained on-scene.
Firefighters from Bristol, Richmond, Cheshire, Naples, and Rushville assisted. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
