Officials with Woodstock 50 announced on Wednesday that the three-day festival to celebrate its 50th anniversary has been canceled.
‘We are saddened that a series of unforeseen setbacks has made it impossible to put on the Festival we imagined with the great line-up we had booked and the social engagement we were anticipating,’ said Michael Lang, co-founder of the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival.
Howard County officials confirmed to WJLA on July 25 that negotiations were underway to finalize bringing the Woodstock Musical Festival to the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
The music festival had suffered a number of high-profile cancelations by artists in recent weeks, including Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, and Santana.
