A Painted Post man pleaded guilty to child pornography possession in federal court.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 56-year-old Christopher Kelly was arrested in April 2018 after an undercover FBI Special Agent determined a computer at Kelly’s Painted Post home was used to share child pornography.
A federal search warrant was executed in November 2018 and investigators seized several of Kelly’s digital devices. Investigators say a forensic analysis revealed the devices had approximately 251 images and five videos containing child pornography, some of which involved prepubescent minors, as well as children being subjected to violence.
Kelly is scheduled to be sentenced on October 30. Possession of child pornography carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
