The Yanks view third baseman Miguel Andujar as a potential trade chip, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. The 24-year-old is out for the season following surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, one year after finishing second to Shohei Ohtani in the American League Rookie of the Year Award voting. The addition of DJ LeMahieu and the emergence of Gio Urshela make Andujar more expendable with New York in World Series-or-bust mode.
