Calm GrassRoots Festival for law enforcement

While there was much music, partying and fun to be had during a hot Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance, the festival was quite calm from the law enforcement perspective.

As of Saturday, the Trumansburg Police Department covered 50 cases, none of which were criminal, said Trumansburg Police Chief Joe Nelson. These cases were for the whole village, not just specifically focused on the festival at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds.

Fifteen parking tickets were issued in the village. The village averages three to five parking tickets per day, with fewer tickets being issued in the summer and more during the winter.
