Deputies search for suspect after gas station shooting in Elbridge

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday night shooting in the parking lot of a Fastrac gas station in the village of Elbridge.

Deputies were called to the gas station at 100 W. Main St. at 10:56 p.m., according to Sgt. Jon Seeber, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital and was treated for a non-life threatening injury, Seeber said.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male in his 20s, who was last seen fleeing the area in a dark-colored vehicle. The make of the vehicle was not known, Seeber said.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting and ask that anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s tip line at 315-435-3051 or by sending a tip via Tip411.
