Police: Victor man charged with felony DWI after traffic stop in Canandaigua

The Canandaigua Police Department reports that a 30-year-old driver was arrested on felony DWI charges after a traffic stop on July 11th.

It’s alleged that Christopher Byers, 30, of Victor was observed driving his pickup truck on Eastern Blvd. in the City of Canandaigua; and in the process failed to stay in his lane.

Investigation determined that Byers was operating his vehicle under the influence of drugs. He had a previous DWI conviction, which elevated the charge to felony-level, according to Canandaigua police.

He was processed and held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment. Additional court action is expected at a later date.
