Relief is on the way, but don’t expect an overnight change.
Following an extremely hot Saturday – things will cool off slightly on Sunday, as high temperatures top out in the mid-80s. There will still be plenty of humidity in the air, but a frontal passage will bring more moderate temperatures by nighttime.

Those temperatures will remain moderate throughout the week, as highs settle into the low-80s, with significantly less humidity.
In the meantime, overnight lows heading into the second half of this summertime weekend will hover around 75 degrees. There’s a 50 percent shot of a shower or thunderstorm; and that risk will likely carry over from the late-afternoon, early-evening timeframe when scattered showers or thunderstorms will be possible.
How are you making out in this heat wave? Don't forget to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if working outdoors!
With a little preparation, you can manage your energy use wisely and cut down on your bill while minimizing risks and keeping cool: https://t.co/zOZnmWu5N3 pic.twitter.com/Gfe1FY2CWP
