When veteran outfielder Matt Kemp arrived in Syracuse last month, he predicted his stay with the Triple-A Mets would be a short one.
He was right, but not for the reason he thought.
Kemp figured he’d quickly work his way out of Syracuse and back to the big leagues, but instead his comeback attempt was derailed by injuries and on Friday the organization released him.
