Ithaca Police investigate shooting on S. Plain Street

Around 1:40 a.m. the Ithaca Police Department responded to the area of South Plain Street and Cleveland Avenue for a report of shots fired.

They observed a large amount of people in the area, and were able to collect evidence, which verified that a shooting did occur at the address.

However, they were unable to locate a victim or suspect at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing into the matter. Anyone with information is asked to call (607) 272-3245.
