Hopewell woman accused of leaving child unattended

Deputies report the arrest of a Hopewell woman following an investigation into a missing persons report on Saturday.

Shortly after midnight – deputies responded to County Road 10 for the report of a missing person. It was reported by Sarah Crowley, 32, who could not find her 9-year-old son.

The child was located a short time later; at which point deputies learned that the child had allegedly been left alone in the area of Campus Gate by Crawley for hours.

Deputies say that she was placed under arrest and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The charges will be answered at a later date.
